I've filmed a lot of weddings. I've seen days run perfectly and days fall apart over small things that were totally avoidable. This is everything I wish more couples knew before the day.
Leave yourself about 1.5 hours before you need to head out. That buffer means you're not rushing and we get those relaxed, candid shots while you're finishing up hair and makeup. I usually start with the guys about 45 minutes before heading to the girls, just as the final touches are happening.
Ceremonies around 4pm work well. They flow into portraits and reception without feeling rushed. First looks are great in cooler months when the light is softer earlier in the day. In summer, we'll time portraits for golden hour, right before the dancing kicks off.
It's all about finding the rhythm that suits you. I'll be there making it feel easy.
