Considered from the ground up.
There's a version of a private property wedding that feels thrown together, and there's a version where every single decision has been made on purpose. Max and Zoe's day on the Bellarine Peninsula was firmly the second one. Laura from Weddings of Desire planned and styled the whole thing, and the result was one of the best put together days I filmed all year.
Soft draped fabric. Warm sandy gravel underfoot. Pastels running through the bridal party from lavender to sage to pale yellow, all sitting against the warm brown of the groomsmen's suits. Nothing in it clashed. It was the kind of palette that looks effortless and is anything but.
Francesca Torcasio Barberis led the ceremony with warmth and personality, keeping the tone grounded without losing any of the feeling. Real words, real reactions, a room that was completely present for all of it.
Soft draping, pastels, and not a single decision left to chance. Then the sun went down.
Wildflos brought florals that sat perfectly inside the palette. Not competing with the draping or the styling, just adding depth and texture where it was needed. Cookes Catering kept everyone fed and happy, and Like This Entertainment read the room from the first song. The energy that had been building through the ceremony and reception found its release and stayed there. Floor packed, people properly going for it. The kind of night that makes editing easy because the footage is already alive.
Dana Vaughn handled makeup and Zoe looked incredible from morning through to the last song. And Katie Harmsworth was on photography. If you follow wedding photography in Victoria at all, you already know what Katie brings to a day. A good one to share.
