A black tie day at RACV Torquay Resort with deep burgundy florals, ocean views, and a room full of people who've watched these two become a team. The speeches alone told you everything about them.
Joe and Ariana's RACV Torquay Resort wedding was a black tie day on the Surf Coast, and some couples just work as a team in a way everyone around them can see. That was the thread running through every speech. A partnership where one is strong and the other is steady, where one worries and the other reassures. The people who love them most got up and said it in different words all night, and by the end you understood exactly what they meant.
They married at RACV Torquay Resort, up on the Surf Coast with the countryside rolling out behind them and the ocean not far off. The styling was bold and classic. Deep burgundy and green florals against crisp white and black tie, red anthuriums and dahlias and hydrangeas stacked high behind them. Nothing soft or muted about it. This was a day with real presence, and it suited them completely.
"Where one is strong, the other is steady. Where one worries, the other reassures. Together, you make perfect sense."
The florals came from Flowers St. Germain, rich and layered and doing a lot of the visual work across the day. Vasiliki Couture and Mariana Hardwick handled the bridal look, with hair by RL Hair Studio and makeup by Abbey Park Makeup. Joe suited up with InStitchu. Every part of the look leaned into that bold, classic direction and none of it fought each other.
Rinaldo Entertainment ran the music, and the reception moved the way the good ones do. There was a cannoli bar from Cannoli Bar, because of course there was, and the whole night carried the same energy the speeches set up. Because the speeches at this wedding were something else.
Deep burgundy florals, black tie, white satin, and green hydrangea stacked high. This was not a soft pastel day. Every colour was chosen to make a statement, and against the Torquay coastline it landed exactly the way it was meant to.
The vibe in one word
Every so often a wedding comes with speeches so good they basically edit themselves. This was one of them. Joe's roast was a highlight — the peewee 50 in the streets of Coburg, showing off doing laps, until his shoe caught the pedal, he looked back, and drove straight into the side of a van. The room lost it.
Then it turned. The same speeches that had everyone laughing moved into something real. Joe swapped three piece wheels and exhaust pipes for potting mix and a veggie garden. Swapped the keyboard and mouse for a tinny and golden hour on the Murray. The bloke whose idea of fine dining was Chinese takeaway now knows what gazpacho is. Funny and specific and only about these two.
Ariana's family brought the emotion. Her father calling her a maestra, little teacher, and telling her that yesterday she was his little girl and today his bride. That in their hearts she'll always be a little ray of sunshine. Joe speaking about Frank and Renata and how grateful he is to have married into this family. These are the moments that make a film worth watching more than once, and this day had them one after another.
An RACV Torquay Resort wedding gives you the coastline and the light in every wide shot, the burgundy florals gave every frame depth, and the black tie styling gave the whole film a sharpness that matched the couple. But the speeches are the spine of this edit. When people speak this honestly and this well, the job is mostly staying out of the way.
A coastal resort, bold florals, and a group of suppliers who understood exactly what this day was meant to be. Joe and Ariana just got to be in it together.
