Intimate. Modern. Styled without being overdone. When a wedding planner plans her own wedding, the day tends to get everything right.
Cait is a wedding planner. Which means when she planned her own day at Dolly Melbourne, every decision had intention behind it. Nothing excessive. Nothing generic. Just a day that felt exactly like them.
Gretta Drane led the ceremony with warmth and real personality. The kind of celebrant who makes guests feel like they’re part of something personal rather than watching from the outside. That energy set the tone for everything that followed.
Cait wore a Saint Bridal gown from The Bridal Curator Australia. Timeless and considered. Josh and the groomsmen in MBO Tailors suits, sharp from start to finish. Hair and makeup by Tonic Makeup and Hair and Steph MUA held the whole look together naturally through the day.
“Calm moments, electric energy, and the kind of personal touches that make a day feel like no one else’s.”
Luke J Music set the ceremony and cocktail hour with live acoustic sound that felt warm without being background noise. Then DJ Stefan Lewis flipped the switch and the floor filled fast and stayed full. Mary Norma Botanicals transformed the space with vibrant florals and The Little Bar Cart had espresso martinis that looked as good as they tasted.
Hailey from Love Bomb Photos was on stills. Always a good day when you’re sharing the floor with someone who approaches it the same way. Bridal BTS was also there capturing the in-between moments behind the scenes.
City chic without the stuffiness. The venue matched Cait and Josh exactly. Intimate enough that the room felt connected, and styled well enough that nothing needed dressing up.
The vibe in one word
Gretta’s ceremony gave the edit its heart. Personal lines, genuine reactions, a room that was fully present. When the ceremony lands like that, the rest of the film has something real to build from.
The reception moved exactly how a city wedding should. Tight, energetic, and social. Stefan Lewis kept the floor going without a gap. The espresso martinis helped.
Cait knew what she wanted and trusted the people around her to deliver it. That confidence always shows up in the film. You can feel it.
Every good day has a good team behind it. Here’s everyone who made Cait and Josh’s day what it was.
