Ceremony at the Old Treasury Building. Reception at the Old Melbourne Gaol. Two venues with serious character. One day that matched both of them perfectly.
Angela and Robbie married at the Registry Office at the Old Treasury Building. Intimate. No fuss. Just the two of them and the people who mattered. Angela wore a Riva Bridal gown with Bared Footwear heels, which tells you exactly what kind of day this was going to be. Timeless but with an edge. Robbie in an Oscar Hunt suit, sharp and cool throughout.
Bethania Bueso handled hair and makeup and had Angela looking incredible from ceremony through to the end of the night. Even the dog made it, thanks to The Poochie Mumma. That kind of detail matters. It shows you what a couple actually values.
Then the reception. Old Melbourne Gaol. If you want drama in the best possible way, that venue delivers it without trying. Rich textures, history in every wall, atmosphere that no ballroom can replicate. Scott Pickett Events transformed the space completely. Styling, catering, bar. All of it landed.
“Some venues do the heavy lifting. The Gaol is one of them. You walk in and the film already has a tone.”
Sugar Bee Flowers brought softness to the space where it needed it, and custom signage from Events.Personalised added the personal layer. Alex from Motta Weddings was on photography. Great to work alongside someone who reads the energy of a day the same way you do.
Stone walls. Soft blooms. Moody lighting. A dance floor that came alive and stayed that way. Not every venue can hold that contrast. This one did it effortlessly.
The vibe in one word
The ceremony was quiet and personal. Small enough that you could feel the room. That kind of ceremony gives you real lines to work with in the edit, not the kind that sound the same as every other wedding.
The reception at the Gaol gave the film its atmosphere. Soft dramatic lighting, guests who were genuinely having a good time, and a dance floor that built naturally and kept going. The edit practically wrote itself.
Angela and Robbie knew what they wanted and trusted the people around them to deliver it. That confidence always comes through on film.
Every good day has a good team behind it. Here’s everyone who made Angela and Robbie’s day what it was.
